The designs are made in store by your consultant and are then sent to the design studio where the eyewear is engineered in CAD software around your measurements. After approval is made back in store, the frames are submitted to be made in Tom Davies’ factory where they are handmade individually for you.

Our bespoke design consultation always starts with getting to know you. What do you do professionally? What kind of lifestyle do you have? Are there any problems with your current frames? Or do you simply want something new and life changing?

The bespoke process then moves to the clinic. After a detailed examination of your vision and eye health, we have a clear understanding of what type of frame we need to design for you. This takes into account the optical needs as well as any clinical or lifestyle requirements identified in the consultation.

Once the frame or frames are selected, the design consultant will then take a series of measurements and photographs to ensure a perfect fit of the frames selected.

With a small top-up fee, you can order any Tom Davies frame in any colour from the Tom Davies collection. Do you need glasses that fit? Or do you want our help to find your perfect style?


All our frames can be custom made to fit you in any of our colours and have your name engraved onto the inside of the temple arm.

You start by finding a frame from the Tom Davies range which you already like, then the size and proportions of the frame are adjusted to your natural fit. Colours are chosen from our extensive range of acetate and titanium finishes and then the frame is handmade to your exact specifications.

Working with colour

Some customers need to try a colour on before ordering their frame, we use colour kits and a headset to help with the selection process. Alternatively, use the colours from an existing frame in the Tom Davies collection. In both cases, you can try on the colour before you decide its right for you.

We have a unique combination of technology and traditional handwork in our factory, ensuring your Bespoke frames are crafted as quickly as possible. With your permission, your email address can be entered on to our factory system and we will send a series of videos from the production line as your frame passes through our system.
